چکیده

Observing of life cycle aquatic insects can be easier and more reliable information collected by raising them in a controlled medium the laboratory. There is insufficient about larvae other stages many species insects. In order to identify determine properly, pupa should linked with their adult forms. this study, Hydropsyche instabilis Curtis, 1834 bulbifera McLachlan, 1878 (Hydropsychidae, Trichoptera) which were from two rivers reared Additionally, it was detailed morphological characters Moreover, has been observed process metamorphosis emergence adults. The male genital structures adults photographed explained. During success H. determined as 17.85% 15.65%, respectively.

Molecular Characterization and Phylogenetic Congruence of Hydropsyche sciligra (Tricoptera: Hydropsychidae) Using Mitochondrial and Nuclear Markers

BACKGROUND Caddisflies have significant roles in freshwater ecosystems. Morphological identification is the major impediment in accurate species identification of Hydropsychids. Mitochondrial and nuclear markers are suitable for molecular systematics of these group of arthropods. METHODS Trichopteran specimens of Lavasan District in northeastern Tehran, Iran were collected in 2012, and descri...

Larvae of Amphipsyche species (Trichoptera: Hydropsychidae) from Thailand.

Morphological characters and scanning electron microscope images of the larvae of Amphipsyche meridiana and A. gratiosa are given. Pupal identifications are based on genitalic features in common with described adults, and larvae were associated with the pupae based on residual larval sclerites captured in the pupal case. Herein, the final larval instar is described, diagnosed, and photographed ...

The larvae of Stenophylax mitis McLachlan 1875 and Allogamus hilaris (McLachlan 1876a) (Trichoptera: Limnephilidae), with notes on ecology and zoogeography.

The paper gives a description of the hitherto unknown larvae of Stenophylax mitis McLachlan 1875 and Allogamus hilaris (McLachlan 1876a) (Trichoptera: Limnephilidae: Limnephilini; Vshivkova et al. 2007). Information on the morphology of the larvae is given and the most important diagnostic features are illustrated. In the context of published keys, the larva of Stenophylax mitis keys together w...

Some observations on altered morphology in Amphipsyche meridiana (Hydropsychidae: Trichoptera) larvae from the Pasak Jolasit Dam Outlet, central Thailand

Amphipsyche meridiana Ulmer, 1909. larvae from the River Pasak below the Pasak Jolasit Dam were examined for alteration of morphological structure such as the anal papillae, surface, and tracheal gills of the larvae. The tracheal gills were the most altered followed by surface and anal papillae. Factors such as conductivity, and inputs of orthophosphate, sulfate, turbidity, other contaminants, ...
